Too often and too many of late, have I been hearing and seeing too many break-ups. Irregardless of the break-up, being physically or not, it's just sad to know that many of them are long-term relationships, built on love, honesty and trust. Once the circle of trust has been broken, it will take a long time to regain that trust from the ones you define as your loved ones. But how can you possibly do that if you (I quote) "love them"?? Hmm..

The dictionary defines "trust" as: Firm reliance on the integrity, ability, or character of a person or thing.

Trust is a difficult thing. It is often associated with people we love, be it family, spouses, significant others or friends. I am not one to trust easily. It leaves me feeling vulnerable. Trust is a wonderful and scary thing. It can mean the difference between liking someone and loving them, when you finally decide to trust them. It means giving someone the power to break your heart and "trusting" them not to. Trust allows someone to believe enough in you to allow you into their very center of their soul.

It does scare me a little. Will mine have a happy future for the rest of my lifetime(being with him)? I wouldn't know cause I'm living my life a day at a time. I can't predict the future but all I know is that if you truly love somebody, you've got to respect him or her. That's very important. By not being honest, that's not respect in my terms. Once you've gained my trust and respect, don't ever try to break it. It's not a nice feeling. I prolly think everyone agress, including those who have cheated or is cheating right now. I mean what's the point in staying if he/she cheats, blantantly lies to you for every actions he/she does.

It's such a sad situation right? If he/she did it once and does show signs of changing for the better, it could be a genuine, honest mistake and he/she is repenting. If he/she does it for the 2nd time, you got to take time and think now. Should you stay or should you go? But if he/she does it for the 3rd time, I suggest you better run for your life. It shows how much love and respect he/she has for you. Obviously very little compared when they first know you. It's heartbreaking, yes. But it's better that you know it before you're married to that very same liar, who promised you the world, all the TLC and happiness just for you and ONLY you. That now, leaves you with just a painful reminder of broken promises. An unhappy fragment of your memories of how things can turn out horribly wrong. But that love will only be that, if you don't make it work and don't give a hoot about each other's feelings and reservations about certain areas. Give and take is also important in a relationship. A relationship is about two individuals, different yet similar in many ways (working towards the same goals in life).

I can only pray to Allah now that my love stays true and that love conquers all. I'm still a hopeless romantic at heart. Just like a shooting star, miracles do happens. All you gotta do sometimes is have a little patience and you'll see that patience is a virtue. ((: Love is many splendid things. YES! It's true. You've got to believe it. *winks*
